The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a diverse cast of personalities, and a exciting storyline featuring angels, evil spirits, and malevolent powers growing in influence within the city.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 lie ahead.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter finished on a dramatic pause and introduced the first table of characters who will branch out from the primary party to undertake their separate journey, apart from the additional parties.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (Whitney Moore), Wicander (the player), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

Dividing the Cast

Considering a large ensemble, it was clear from the beginning that maintaining everyone at the same party would be impossible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, intertwining the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

The Nature of the Warrior Group

Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a typically action-packed battle-oriented story mode where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might appear out of place, but the events of the latest installment demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the combat party.

Why They Must Go

To begin with, the team understands precisely where to go next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

An old friend of Thjazi—whose death kicked off the campaign’s events—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading Thjazi’s hideout, striking the rogue, and taking all the powerful objects to dispose of.

The traitor then settled his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, north of Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Character Drivers

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to leave the city the metropolitan area:

  • The agile hero, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer knows the region and warns that it is a hostile environment.
  • The strong character and The healer, having resisted his family’s wishes to kill the target and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as prominent individuals in the influential clan could help the group enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Moreover, The grateful character vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the powers that control the city for a range of causes, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The agile adventurer and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
  • The strong figure and The cleric defied the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
  • Teor is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the remote area in pursuit of the traitor.

Upcoming Developments

From episode three’s post-show segment, we discover that the warrior group won’t be around next week, leaving the rest of the players to round up the Seekers and Planners groups.

Fans can expect discovering which players will be in which group in Campaign 4’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on next week.
