Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were left without electricity and encountered problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, as reported by local officials.

Russian forces has increased assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Officials stated that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were laboring to restore power.

A barrage of missiles hit power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Regional authorities said the city experienced intense attacks during nighttime hours. A minor died and multiple civilians were injured.

The attacks succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for advanced weapon attacks, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to damage the country's energy grid, with strikes already affecting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
